Who We Have Been

Comedy Sportz has been a part of CCA's culture for a very long time. These are some past CCA CSz members who have moved on to bigger, more expensive stages in their lives to study engineering, literature, teaching, theatre and so much more. Yet through it all, they still love Comedy Sportz. They are our friends, mentors, teammates, and family, why not get to know them?

Jake Goldfarb
2016-2018

I am going to be a Freshman at UCLA. One thing I’ve learned is that putting yourself out there is the hardest thing, and whatever the result, you did something that you never thought you could’ve. I am studying theatre at UCLA and on the College Team at the CSz LA Company. Piece of Advice: Don’t let anyone tell you what you can and cannot achieve because you are the only person that can decide that.

Julia Wisnia
2014-2017

University of Southern California, Freshman, #fighton. I learned that everyone has a story worth telling. I’m studying electrical engineering but I’m still passionate about improv, and joined a troupe called Commedus Interruptus here! My word of advice is only do things you love to do.
Jade Mazurkiewicz
2014-2017
Sophomore in College. ComedySportz taught me the value of team work and how truly amazing anything can be with a group of supportive individuals helping each other and forever saying “yes and”! I have always loved reading and diving into other worlds, which is why I’m pursuing to become a Literature teacher! Keep in mind that this is a team of extremely talented individuals. ComedySportz will always be magical because it’s a team of these exceptional individuals supporting one another.  Never forget the value of supporting your fellow teammates.
Ann Ryan
2014-2017
UC Davis Freshman. Something I learned from ComedySportz is how to be more confident in front of people. Ok my passions right now are also improv, research, Japanese, and Wushu. Wushu is this really fun Chinese martial art. A word of advice would be to listen closely to others, support your teammates, and just be yourself.
Jack Carter Roberts
2016-2017
Freshman at Mira Costa College. I learned to always make my team look good. My passions are acting, rugby, and improv whenever I get the chance. Don’t try too hard to be funny and if you fail, fail big.
Constantine Mickens
2013-2016

Ithaca College Freshman
CSz gave me confidence and taught me how to do things even when you don’t know how to do them. My current passion is acting, but improv will always be a part of my life. Corn.
Oscar Howe
2012-2016
Mira Costa College, Sophomore. From my time in CSZ I learned that teamwork is everything and people really can get better with more practice and effort put into what they do. My current passions are art and animation and starting to get back into stand up comedy. My word of advice is to not take life too seriously or you're not gonna have much fun.
